Samantha Hawkins credits her years as a homeschooled student as helping to cultivate her into the independent, ambitious, and emotionally intelligent soul she is today. With nearly seven years of experience as an Emergency Communications Specialist with Cobb County E-911, Samantha’s passion is emphasizing humanity and compassion in public safety. She is a regular contributor to the Journal of Emergency Dispatch, and has taught at various state and regional workshops. Samantha enjoys drawing from her own personal experiences to teach others about combatting bias in the workplace, and the importance of empathy and kindness as it relates to customer service.
