Rachel Rist has been homeschooling her two children for the past eleven years. After initial exposure to Institute for Excellence in Writing in 2008-09, she came to embrace the program in 2011 and is now a Certified Instructor with them. Having taught several years in a local co-op to the same students using the IEW program, she has seen tremendous improvement in the student’s abilities to express themselves and to communicate clearly. One student increased her ACT English portion by six points from the first time in taking it to the second time! Prior to 2008, she and her husband worked for Campus Crusade for Christ for twenty years. Currently, she lives with her husband, Patrick, and their two children on her husband’s family farm just outside Nashville, TN.
