Alan and Michelle Shaw
Dr. Alan Shaw is a tenured Professor and Associate Chair of the Computer Science Department at Kennesaw State University. Michelle Shaw is the director of Eastside Academic Studies (a hybrid school) and the Northeast Independent Preparatory Academy (NIPA) (an accrediting organization). They have homeschooled all five of their children. Their three boys graduated from MIT, Dartmouth and Harvard. One of their sons went on to receive an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. One of their daughters graduated from Kennesaw State University and their other daughter is currently attending Georgia State University. Michelle has interviewed for Harvard Admissions and has attended many meetings with the admissions officers from a variety of elite schools. Michelle and Alan both received their bachelor’s degrees from Harvard College. Michelle went on to receive her law degree from Harvard Law School and Dr. Shaw received his masters and doctorate degrees from MIT.
