Dr. Riegel has decades of experience in education and has published two books focused on supporting parents to promote education in the home as well as statewide support for parents in early literacy. She is the co-founder of JAKAPA, a company that measures, trains and tracks the non-academic skills students need to succeed (soft skills, life skills, executive function). She is sought internationally for her expertise and has published three books.
