Kris, a homeschooling mom of three, is author of the popular blog, Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers. Kris began homeschooling her children in 2002 after watching her book-loving first grade daughter grow increasingly frustrated as she struggled to learn to read. Homeschooling turned out to be a great fit for her family and, with one-on-one attention, her daughter soon learned to read. Years later, however, reading struggles surfaced again – this time with Kris’s son.
Despite a variety of approaches, her son saw only minimal reading improvement until Kris was introduced to Lexercise. Kris credits the Lexercise clinicians and their systematic approach to reading with helping her son become an independent reader.
