Our founder and executive director, Josh Matteson has served in pastoral ministry for over two decades. Before moving to Tennessee to lead SALT Next Gen Ministries, Josh and his wife planted a church in Phoenix, AZ which launched in April of 2017. Prior to that, Josh served as senior pastor at an established church for 9 years, having served as the interim pastor for a year and as the student pastor for 7 years prior to that. Josh graduated from International Baptist College with my B.A. in Bible and Pastoral Studies and completed his Master of Divinity at Phoenix Seminary in 2016. In addition to pastoral ministry, Josh served as a senior adjunct professor in the College of Theology at Grand Canyon University for five years. Josh has also trained pastors overseas on a variety of mission fields.
