Iris Hatfield is a handwriting coach and author of the New American Cursive Penmanship Program. As a handwriting specialist for over 40 years she worked with the Penmanship Council to develop the simplified but classic New American Cursive alphabet. Hatfield’s passion for improving the handwriting skills of students encouraged her to develop cursive workbooks, software and other materials to make learning cursive easy and fun. Many of the workbooks use Bible verses and character building quotes to teach cursive skills. The New American Cursive Penmanship Program is used by private and home schools across the country.
