At Heifer we believe A Kid Can Change the World! Our mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Our educational resources motivate children to learn about ways to help our neighbors in need. We provide FREE lesson plans, activities and resources for families to learn about global hunger and poverty and how to help! For 75 years, Heifer International has provided livestock and environmentally sound agricultural training to improve the lives of people who struggle daily for reliable sources of food and income. We currently work in 20 countries, including the United States, to help families and communities become self-reliant. Our goal is to help families achieve living incomes, which allow them to feed their families daily; educate all their children; and have proper housing, water, hygiene and other essential resources.
